Yay! Your back!! Omg 2 months to finally get your cutter in .. I can't believe they won't help you with anything on that Fr-50.. with half the amount of hours... It's not like you beat on it cutting huge wood... That 803 M with that head is painful to watch lmao....and that cutter isn't as quiet... Great video though and awesome music! 😎
Hi Tomas!!😀😀 30 degree turn is definitely not enough. Just a good way to break the end of the boom off dead stopping at that angle. Hopefully they get your machine fixed quickly.
You’d think they would give you some good will, good will goes a long way to keep a customer happy. Probably not going to be a John Deere next purchase. Shame that a company the size of John Deere just doesn’t seem to care about bad publicity, they should get input from customers on what the machine should do. Enjoy your video, keep safe my friend.
On my 3rd 803 with Doggett.undercarriage is for sure junk, The fs 20 head is too. Have a fb22 or something now and it isn’t any better. The machine is for sure jumpy and under powered. On the subject of Doggett, nailed it, they have a good salesman and one good mechanic. The parts guy is good too but the rest of the store I’m nowhere near a fan of. It’s not the first time going rounds or dealing with service issues either. They always “make it right” in their opinion. Usually after a lot of headache and lost production or several phone calls to everywhere but them. I have all John Deere stuff for the most part for now but not gonna be like that much longer.
That’s one thing I can say about tiger cat I know Thomas don’t like their cutters but by God if you have a problem with one of there Machines they are there to fix it as quick as possible that’s one thing I can say about tiger cat
I think next time around, after this trouble, I’d go with cat or tigercat. It seems like from watching Cottontop, or Bobby Goodson, tiger cat really stands behind their product
Tiger cat does stand behind their equipment down here and Southeast Louisiana our loggers are having the same problem with Dogget, their service sucks. And they have a lot of wiring problems with all of their machines
Were having nothing but down time with our 853M, if its not sensors its control modules. even our 648L skidder is the same as the buncher , sensors and modules not to mention the DEF fluid system problems. got a 630E Tigercat and that thing is great, pulls wood with no down time so far..
Thomas I hadn’t seen a video from you in so long I thought you were done caught the Corona or something but anyway I’m glad to see a video from you so you and your family stay safe and keep the videos coming
I’ve always thought a rubber tire could even use the 360* head on it cause I know I’ve been in spots throwing big hardwood where I would of have love to have a rotate head on my rubber tire.
Dealer problems are probably preferable to having your logging equipment incinerated in wildfires like some West Coast logging crews have. (260,000 acres of private timberland burnt in the Dixie fire so far) The 'E" series for the Tigercat 822/ 830 series will probably be getting closer, & get the early production model issues sorted etc. What was a summary of the 822D issues? Debris build up, slider hard to remove, seat could be better, the foot pedal position, no cab roof window, D6 size undercarriage, less power than the JD. etc. Should write into Tigercat what you want in the next feller buncher - better seat, no slider, self cleaning covers, the 308hp 6.7 liter engine, the tigercat 865 loader under carriage(F7-162, D7 with 36 inch tri-rail, top rollers), larger boom lift cylinder, (TC 5300 bunching head capable) transparent aluminum cab roof window(Alon -that NASA is testing) etc
Glad to see your back and on the Deere issue as much as I use to like John Deere I would recommend cat to you. Reason I say that is a lot of loggers here in Alabama are running them and have had amazing service with them and service Dept has been great to the guys up here. I do know service Dept from here and there are totally different
I had to get away from Deere just got tired of the service here in my state and problems, it's hard enough to make a living , good luck with your equipment that is Deere made;;;;;
And Deere is the worst forestry equipment company to deal with by a country mile. Get yourself a Timberpro. That's what I will buy, when the time is right.
Thomas the loggers down here around Pearl River area are having the same problem with Dogget from Covington Louisiana is where their story is but the same problem no service and I’m a tell you something else they’re having a lot of wiring problems on their L model skidders and M model cutters. The company that my nephew works for which is Perry Loftin logging LLC is getting rid of all of his John Deere equipment and going strictly to Tiger Cat. One of his clear-cut Cruise is all tiger cat and the one my nephew works on has tiger cat loaders and all John Deere skidders and the man is so fed up with the John Deere service department he’s getting rid of all of the John Deere machines so you’re not the only one having a problem with Dogget.
I’d be curious to know how much side to side movement is on your main boom pin. I run an 803 harvests or and with my main boom stretched all the way out and hed on the ground mine moves side to side an inch up by the cab corner. Sounds like I’m running a 20k hr machine but really it’s only at 1100
My husband's ran track she has 30 years John Deere came over there first aerotel swing 653 back in 96 first one in the state of New Hampshire when they stop making the 653 the new John Deere's suck
I hear ya on Deere garbage, I got a cat 521b and it’s got it’s problems but it’s a hell of a lot better than that thing. I really want a tc 822d or 845e next in a couple years. What kinda buncher you thinking on in the future?
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas ok thanks.. just trying to think outside of the box.. as far as running/owning own machine.. that can be transported with pickup..
So tigercat and you can't go wrong, cats eat deree morning noon and night for breakfast lunch and dinner do you want to do the eating or would you rather do the bleeding in a deer
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas I really don’t understand why you don’t turn to tiger cat. There service is the best…the smoothest to operate…longest last…talk to cotton top
Still better then cat absolutely nobody in the north part of Canada even down south in Canada British Columbia uses cat you only see tigercat or John Deere
Good to see you back!
Keep standing your ground.
And It's not talking shit when it's when they doing You like that.
Be safe

Welcome back thomas!!! These are videos I love to see
Glad to see you back Thomas! RUclips was getting kind of boring lol
I would be going to tigercat plain and simple
Is this where the Tough, Reliable, productive. Slogan of Tigercat comes true? 🤣😅

I rather here engine running or birds singing than music please love the vidios love to see equipment working
Well, there are other channels that don’t have that.

Missed you. Great video

You spelt Tigercat wrong lol
In my area Cat doesn’t even want to service a loggers dozer much less support logging equipment made by a paving company that they sell!
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas well they have good equipment also Parnell inc that’s all they run. They are the big dogs up here like 4 or 5 crews

Hell of a job on the vid
Thanks dude!
Finally, you’re back! I thought you quit RUclips
how you plan on riding out hurricane Ida????? looks like gonna be bad....
How does this channel not have 100k subscribers? The quality of videos is amazing
So how you all holding up with the storm

I was getting worried….took a few days to hear from ya lol
We have the FR21B saw head junk as well

Horrible idea I’d think

you run those things completely full tilt ball out no wonder shits falling apart you got 57 trees all in one bunch driving around
You’re not supposed to work like that?
Can’t be the only person wondering if you gone pull the trigger and switch to tigercat for your next cutter.🤔
#4years
We have an 853M, great machine but the head (FR21B) is absolute junk.
TIGER CAT
Lmao, that is a new Ferrari compared to my 03 Deere 753G with an FS20 and every pin loose enough to stick a finger in..
Junk…..
So how much more is a tiger cat machine in the same size? 30,000?
Same price basically

What buncher would you recommend for a small logging company
822C for track cutter or 718E for a drive to tree
Get your self a 959 with a quadco head!
I don’t want anything with a Deere on it
Are you prepared for the hurricane
Man maybe get another tigercat
4 years lol
sorry to hear that the 803m is so poorly made.
What sup
DON T TELL ME THEY ACTING LIKE bidobama.
Still better then cat absolutely nobody in the north part of Canada even down south in Canada British Columbia uses cat you only see tigercat or John Deere
Cat is definitely the worse lol
😂
Get a tigercat
How much more is a Tigercat? If this machine costs less, you got what you paid for.
Who said I bought it? Did you not watch the video lol
Made in China
No, it’s actually assembled here in the states, I’ve seen them. The engines are assembled in Mexico then installed in the machine in Iowa.
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas 9.0L engines come from Waterloo Iowa. Bit of a stretch to Mexico.
