- Experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

- Experience developing co-marketing strategies and campaigns globally.
- Knowledge of gaming, the ecosystem, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to identify product requirements and process improvements.
- Ability to derive actionable insights from data and research with strong problem-solving skills.

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As part of the Games Go-To-Market (GTM) team, this role is focused on our multiplatform gaming efforts, Google Play Games for Personal Computer. As a Marketing Manager for multiplatform gaming, you will be responsible for setting GTM strategies for a rapidly growing consumer business. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, strategy, finance, business development and other teams to create and execute global GTM plans that will scale the business.
In this role, you will be defining and driving growth and marketing efforts for products on a global scale, crafting GTM strategies to drive consumer awareness, acquisition, engagement, and maintenance. You will be responsible for growth marketing efforts via key CRM channels. You will also utilize notifications and email channels to create compelling engagement campaigns for our most valuable users, test and iterate to identify opportunities to drive significant impact. In addition, you will partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve our CRM capabilities to drive more reach, engagement and optimization of our communication channels.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Work across global teams to build marketing initiatives to support high priority game moments. Drive thought leadership on program opportunities, including game selection, moment amplification, marketing toolkit opportunities, and influencing stakeholders to gain cross-functional alignment and prioritization.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, game developers to bring games to market, running co-promotions across the games title lifecycle that drive user engagement, revenue, and partner satisfaction. Become an expert in the mobile gaming space to drive positive outcomes for game developers.
- Lead analyses and studies to identify opportunities about program performance, user behavior, and competitor landscape, in order to inform business and promotional decisions. Innovate on growth best practices, partner across product areas, optimize operations to continually expand the impact of our GTM efforts on developer success.
