DJ and Andre wanted to go out candy hunting, the typical trick or treat thing, but on their way out it seems they receive a tricky treat, can you guess? ;p
They both dont mind the situation and continue their candy hunt, probably more profitable than before ;3
That one was supposed to be done for last halloween... or better the halloween before as the line art was done exactly one year ago xp
But life, job, other hobbies and friends have also their place in my daily routine and my art moods slowly come back, hopefully for longer as there's still a lot to do for me >w<
Also as a little treat for Elly, who always has been a sweet person to me <3
Hope ya like DJ and Andre being under the influence of mysterious growth ;3
all done on 30x40cm artist paper, colored in markers and a bit of color pencil and white acryl paint pen

"awaken my masters!" the poses are similar to Pillar Men poses from anime Jojo's Bizarre Adventures (season 2 to be specific). the Pillar men are like bad guys sort of, first thing one of them does is after waking up, he poses, then says awaken my masters, who wake up instantly in badass pose ;)
OH ... MY ... GOD! I have been dreaming of this pic being finished for a while. I can't believe how unbelievably good the shading is in this pic. DAAAAAAAMN. Again, .... I'm virtually speechless. This is astounding. It's also great to see a new finished pic from you, big foxy.
You are one of the few who found the secret third character, or at least mentioned it x3
And no, its actually a friend's character who has just one blue eye, the other is purple but not visible behind the fence x3
I have a fair clue about this foxy boy had something to do with the growth ;3

Sorry for the late relpy.
Are they haunted or is the candy?
If they are, would they mind the company of a human or another awere creature of they are willing to turn someone.
Or if the candy is haunted or tampered with to the point that it gives them their new muscular look and possibly new and improved abilities, could one have some of that candy to join them in their new found glory and greatness as well as their pack.

Well, I personally don't really understand the hype around "hyper muscle transformation stuff"... I mean... a character took a potion, pill or whatever and then transforms into an even bigger muscle beast than before.
XD
It is a fun concept if the character was thin, tiny and small in the beginning - and after taking the potion he/she becomes a beast!!!
That is a concept I understand.
But... DJ and Andere are ALREADY huge and powerful beasts... the treat, potion or whatever would not really do a huuuuuuuge difference... or would it?
XD
Nevertheless, that is just a personal opinion.
I can recognize that both foxes have become a bit MORE huge and a lot bigger due to the treat (I suppose it's the pumpkin that caused the growth)... but you are most certainly fine with their new proportions and mass, eh???
XD
As always, it's very difficult to draw muscle growth and still upholding a certain anatomical correctness and logic.
These beasts - while being extraordinary huge and buff now - are still following anatomical principles and that is easy to see if you know where to look.
For example: The waist is still thin and small compared to the biceps or the latissimus dorsi. Especially the latissimus has gained a lot of mass!
Legs and arms are equally huge and enormous - but not really out of proportion. If I would apply an x-ray you could see that the basic skeleton is unchanged... only the flesh has grown all around it.
XD
So... after explaining - and most likely defending this artwork against all the "You draw ugly, unrealistic muscles" comments - I can now comment on a few aspects of the picture itself.
^^
I don't have to say much about the characters because you've become quite good at drawing those two guys.
^^
But what has changed?
Well, it is really tough drawing/painting a scene at night - and this is where the artwork shines (lol)!
I like the soft, yet sharp moon shine... and the very realistic sky. It is a fine night, not just black but also some sweet gradients of blue with lots of fine dots for the stars.
I often use deep blue for my night scenes... but I have never been satisfied with it. THIS here on the other hand could be useful for my very own artworks!
So, yeah... I will try the same approach next time. Also, going with a yellow moon... maybe.
^^
So, the scene is very well done and I like the overall lighting. We can certainly see a strong light source from the lower right which is cool! It illuminates the characters in a mystical, even scary way - which is supporting the story behind the artwork once again.
^^
Yes, so... a very moody, scary Halloween artwork with a great scene at night, beautifully coloured and well drawn.
